Skilled Setter

Skilled Setter – Philippi, Cape Town – R110 Per Hour A Plastic manufacturing company is seeking a Skilled Setter to join their team and play a pivotal role in our production process.

Responsibilities: Identify and rectify technical issues on production equipment.

Conduct fault analysis and problem-solving independently.

Develop and implement maintenance plans.

Set and adjust machines for optimal performance.

Liaise with managers and internal/external stakeholders for effective communication and problem resolution.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements: Secondary Education (Grade 12) Minimum N2 in Tool, Jig & Die trade theory with trade certification (red seal) preferred 5 years of relevant setting experience Sound understanding of technical drawings and fault-finding principles Strong communication and problem-solving skills Passion for career growth in packaging with environmental awareness Experience on machines like (but not limited to), MB50, PF6, etc.
