Software Engineer

Must Haves:

5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer/Developer

MUST HAVE experience with full product development lifecycle – owning a feature set from END TO END

Full dev, testing, production support, etc.

Agile team environment

Smaller teams preferred

Strong passion for software/product development

Cloud experience (AWS preferred)

Java, AngularJS (Javascript Framework React, Vue, etc.), Springboot, Typescript, Kotlin

PostgreSQL and SQL

About the Role:

A client of Insight Global is seeking 3 Software Engineers to join various teams of Product Development. These teams are fairly small and very close knit. You must have a passion for learning new technologies, passion for full lifecycle development and experience owning product development from end to end. The team operates in an Agile environment, does pair coding reviews and is very collaborative.

The teams focus on Comprehensive Medical Review platform and patient repositories for their clients. These are pure Fullstack development teams that consist of the following technologies: Java, Angular JS (JavaScript Framework React, View, etc.), PostgreSQL and SQL, Kotlin. They are seeking Engineers need to be able to work across the tech stack (front-end and back-end); must be strong with both. The product that this team specializes in one of the client’s platforms called Comprehensive Medical Review (CMR) – This is an internal application that is utilized by a team of employees to reach out to patients of payers (Insurance companies) to review patient medications. This team collects all the data and builds software that determines which patients are qualified for CMR services. This software will flag the patients that are eligible for CMR services and provide a platform for our internal team who will be contacting these patients to discuss their medication regimen, and offer things like mail order prescriptions, generic alternatives, and discount programs.

The team is comprised of 1 Tech Lead and 4 Full-Stack Engineers.

This team does not have a UX designer.

They have a roadmap for future state and projects.

This is an Agile team with a Scrum Master/People Manager.

This program has been in place for a while, so the team focuses on enhancements and modernization.

The Tech Lead is responsible for all the design.
