Silicon Validation/Verification Engineer

Location: Portland, OR 97209

Duration: 6 Months (Possible extension 12+ Months)

We're seeking talented individuals to drive the post-silicon validation of our cutting-edge chip designs in our state-of-the-art lab. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with design, verification, and software teams to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring the functionality and performance of our chips meet the highest standards. With a focus on innovation, you'll contribute to the enhancement of our validation methodologies and tools while leveraging your expertise in computer architecture, silicon validation/testing, and Python scripting. ABOUT THE ROLE

Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is Post-Silicon Validation manufactured through their lab and writing the validation.

Looking for a talented and motivated Silicon Validation Engineers to join our team.

You will be responsible for validating the functionality and performance of our cutting-edge chip designs.

You will work closely with the design, verification, and software teams to develop test plans, execute tests, debug issues, and report results.

You will also contribute to the improvement of our validation methodologies and tools.

TOP 3 HARD SKILLS REQUIRED - 3+ YEARS (MINIMUM)

Computer architecture knowledge

Silicon Validation/ verification/ testing

Python Scripting

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.

3+ years of experience in silicon validation, testing, or debugging.

Demonstrated validation experience in one or more of the following:

Validation of:

Functional: Core, PCIe, Memory Controller, IO, Power Management, Coherency, Manageability, BIOS/Microcode development and debug, or Fuses

Electrical: Serdes, IO

Power and Performance

Applied understanding of Computer Architecture and CPU/SoC validation principles, including Understanding of SoC subsystem, SoC system level, and platform level functionality and writing scripts/software with industry standard languages like Python or C/C++.

Understanding system level software and firmware.

Experience with hardware and software debug tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, gdb, etc.

Understanding of board level schematics.

Passion for quality and innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute validation test plans for various SoC features and subsystems in one of the following areas - functional, electrical, or power/performance.

Perform functional, stress, and performance testing using hardware and software tools.

Analyze test results and identify, isolate, and debug issues.

Document and communicate test findings and status to stakeholders.

Collaborate with design, verification, and software teams to provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Support the development and enhancement of validation methodologies and tools.
