Research Associate – Molecular Biology

Role Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting experiments and assays to support our molecular biology research efforts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the discovery, characterization, and optimization of novel molecular targets.

Responsibilities:

Perform care and maintenance of cell cultures, including immortalized cell lines

Conduct transfection and characterization of cells, as well as the generation of stable cell lines

Execute a variety of cell-based assays, including proliferation/viability, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, ELISA, HTRF, AlphaLISA, and xCELLigence RTCA

Assist in the development and optimization of experimental protocols

Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols and good laboratory practices

Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve research objectives

Present research findings internally and contribute to scientific discussions

Qualifications/Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in molecular biology or a related field

1-4 years of laboratory experience, preferably in an industry setting

Previous experience working with primary cells is desirable

Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as protein preparation and western blotting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Experience with electronic laboratory notebook platforms is a plus

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
