Director/Sr. Director of Sales

General Overview: Vector BioMed is a state-of-the-art contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in best-in-class lentiviral vectors. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to join our growing team. Responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies, managing the sales pipeline, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of life sciences market, as well as experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver sales presentations and training materials

Represent the company at industry events and conferences

Identifying and qualifying new prospects, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and closing deals

Maintaining relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities

Staying current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field

10+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMO) or biotechnology industry

Strong understanding of the cell and gene therapy market

Proven track record of success in closing deals

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Strong relationship-building skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
