Summary:

Buy and manage distribution inventory on targeted items, currently for our 7 DCs. Working efficiently and effectivity with all our DC’s providing excellent customer service and superior communication

Key Responsibilities:

Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and always promote teamwork.

Manage all DC buying on assigned group of items/categories.

Leverage the volume in our 7 DC to drive cost reduction, as well as consistency in our DCs inventory and sourcing.

Generate purchase orders directly out of each DC to maintain their on-hand inventory to their safety stock standards. Maximizing logistics

Book and manage all freight for sourced items.

Provide full communication to the sales teams by DC as to inventory status.

Manage all aspects of sourced items in the DC’s, price cycle reviews, burdens, freight variance, quantity limits, daily conference call communication etc.

Assist category managers with the development and implementation of strategic sourcing and procurement processes.

Achieve optimum service cost while ensuring high level of quality/service and the respect of delivery targets.

Work with DC purchasing managers on the development of price forecasts for key market drivers.

Supply day-to-day management to insure product availability and performance.

Develop in-depth knowledge of key material market suppliers and cost infrastructure.

Assists with the developing new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.

Follow and enforce good safety practices.

Ensure materials purchased are done in a timely basis and all business transactions are conducted with a professional manner.

Monitor costs and schedules, driving out cost at every level

Communicate daily market conditions, incoming products, current inventory, and potential/current outages.

Review inventory, item movement/history, ad projections, and product supply; determine need and recommend or place orders. Maintaining each DCs inventory targets

Produce and present training programs on assigned items to all DC sellers and purchasing liaisons.

Perform other duties, as assigned.What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required

Minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field is a benefit.Salary Range: $ 84,500 - $100,000
