The role of a part-time psychiatrist at Precise Behavioral, Inc. involves providing support onsite at an inpatient psychiatric unit to 10-15 adult patients, evaluation, ensuring mental health treatment, and rounding. This role is 1-2 weekends per month plus on-call.

Qualifications:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations of adult patients

Provide mental health treatment and support to patients

Round on patients at an inpatient psychiatric unit

Work both on-site at location in San Bernardino, CA and on-call

Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements in psychiatry

Place/discontinue/extending psychiatric holds as needed

Utilize EMR systems specifically Cerner

Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues

Collaborate with medical staff leadership

Provide leadership in program development

Conduct initial evaluations and assessments of patients

Develop personalized treatment plans for each patient

Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care

Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records

Prescribe medications as necessary
