This person will serve as the lead resource on the Mac team. Must have experience understanding the Mac architecture in a global environment, and provide MAC support on a daily basis.

Windows & SCCM experience is a huge plus. NOT looking for a Windows support specialist with Mac experience- needs to be ALL MAC and an expert

A MacOS support engineer/architect is a professional who provides technical assistance and solutions for MacOS devices and systems. They are responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the performance and security of MacOS environments. They also design and implement MacOS architectures that meet the needs and expectations of the clients and users.

To become a successful MacOS support engineer/architect, one needs to have a combination of technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Some of the essential skills for this role are:

MacOS expertise: A MacOS support engineer/architect should have a deep knowledge of the MacOS operating system, its features, functions, and components. They should be able to use various tools and commands to diagnose and resolve issues, optimize performance, and ensure compatibility with other devices and applications. They should also be familiar with the MacOS security policies and best practices, and be able to implement and enforce them.

Networking skills:

A MacOS support engineer/architect should have a solid understanding of the network protocols, standards, and technologies that are used to connect and communicate with MacOS devices and systems.

They should be able to configure and troubleshoot network settings, devices, and services, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and firewall.

They should also be able to design and deploy network architectures that support the scalability, reliability, and security of MacOS environments.

Scripting and automation skills:

A MacOS support engineer/architect should be able to use scripting languages and tools, such as Bash, Python, AppleScript, and Automator, to automate tasks, workflows, and processes related to MacOS administration and management.

They should be able to write, test, and debug scripts that perform various functions, such as installing and updating software, backing up and restoring data, monitoring and reporting system status, and performing security audits.

Communication and collaboration skills:

A MacOS support engineer/architect should be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, users, and other IT professionals. They should be able to listen and understand the needs and expectations of the clients and users, and provide clear and concise instructions, feedback, and solutions. They should also be able to work in a team and coordinate with other IT specialists, such as developers, analysts, and engineers, to deliver high-quality MacOS solutions.

Problem-solving and analytical skills:

A MacOS support engineer/architect should be able to identify, analyze, and solve complex and challenging problems that arise in MacOS devices and systems. They should be able to use various methods and tools, such as logs, diagnostics, and testing, to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and prevent them from recurring. They should also be able to evaluate and improve the performance, efficiency, and security of MacOS environments, and recommend and implement changes and enhancements.
