STAFF PROGRAM MANAGER - SURGICAL ROBOTICS, MEDICAL DEVICES -SF BAY,
This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Program Manager, Staff Program Manager to join a very exciting Global Surgical Robotics company at the cutting edge of Minimally Invasive Surgery. The company based in SF Bay, are on a mission to improve the volume of patients seen by surgeons, reduce wait times and cancellations and improve patient recovery and surgeon experience. Reporting directly to the COO, you will be at the heart of this organization and work closely as an INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTOR with other C suite members as well as with manufacturing, suppliers, and vendors to play a crucial role in this rapidly expanding Global start-up. To be considered for this role you MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MEDICAL DEVICES AND DISPOSABLES. This role will involve travel overseas.
The role carries 25 days PAID HOLIDAY, an attractive salary, bonus and equity as well as other benefits . Working in SF Bay initially 4 days a week.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
STAFF PROGRAM MANANGER -DISPOSABLES
Core Responsibilities
Collect, connect, and assess fragmented information across internal and external parties to formulate plans to reach product line goals.
Lead programs, adapt as necessary to changing information, leverage a pragmatic and efficient mindset to deliver acceptable results by program timeline goals.
Manage the de-risking of program components through design, manufacturing, supply chain, and / or testing innovations.
Source, evaluate, and engage with qualified partners to fabricate device components or larger assemblies; this will include multiple trips overseas to visit and work with manufacturing partners.
Interact with vendors regularly to access their capabilities, leverage their internal resources for DFM / DFA improvements, and bring up component and assembly manufacturing at these vendors
Vet and prioritize design improvement opportunities that streamline manufacturing operations, supply chain, and component COGS.
Architect the plan to achieve desired volumes and COGS required for the overall business strategy - This may include contract manufacturers, automation, and even device redesign.
Work regularly with internal and external engineering teams to determine device requirements, performance standards, and critical attributes.
Manage program tasks in a visible, sharable, and efficient method, that is effectively communicated to upper management.
Build and manage forecast models for production and COGS of program devices.
Lead development, manufacturing, and commercialization support of disposable, resposable, and / or reusable devices
Lead the design verification strategy and perform or support verification testing when required.
