Pay Range: $65 - $75/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

Provide all aspects of data center virtualization (VMWare/Nutanix) server and system administration (installation, provisioning, configuration, user account setup, support, and maintenance etc.)

Ensure continued resiliency, security, and scalability of current environment.

Identify hardware needs and partner with client vendors for related procurement.

Collaborate with internal data center team in racking, stacking, cabling procured hardware.

Partner with SCCM and security groups to timely upgrade, patch and mitigate vulnerability risks to guarantee business continuity of installed server base.

Maintain continued documentation of process flows, system diagrams, and knowledge base.

Troubleshoot, triage, and provide advanced support on supported systems.

Participate and ensure success in disaster recovery and business continuity exercises.

Continue maturing and enhancing portfolio of supported systems while establishing best practices and stellar stewardship including governance.

Endorse Sox compliance of system processes & user access by partnering with the audit group.

Design, develop, test, implement and support effective enterprise infrastructure platforms that meet business specific requirements.

Provide rotating weekly on-call 24x7 support.

Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Audit and Security teams to understand, establish, and uphold NS IT standards and architectural integration patterns.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

Hands on experience in implementing converged infrastructure and Nutanix/VMWare hyperconverged infrastructures in data centers.

Demonstrated working experience with Nutanix administration (including Prism Element, Prism Central) and VMWare administration (including vSphere, vCenter, vROPS, Aria Automation)

Hands on experience in AHV, ESXi, Metro Availability & Hyper-V hypervisors on Dell, HP, Lenovo, Cisco and other comparable hardware

Solid template management skills for optimal virtual machine provisioning

Monitor overall/hardware health of compute platform consisting of Hyperconverged infrastructure (Nutanix, vBlock, VMWare, Skyline etc.)

Good understanding of software defined networking and software defined networking

Significant prior experience performing design, deploy, and manage Nutanix and VMWare clusters

Firm grasp of creating virtual machine snapshots and taking recurring backups

Install, update, and patch AOS and ESXi on a recurring basis.

Drive regular operations and maintenance of IT infrastructure.

Coordinate with vendor(s) for upgrade or refresh where the actual upgrade/refresh work will be performed by respective vendor(s).

Working experience with AFS Management and monitoring.

Optimize and troubleshoot virtual infrastructure.

Working knowledge of:

Networks (LAN, WAN etc.)

Storage (local, virtual, hyperconverged and shared network)

Security (firewall variances, tokens/proxy/port management etc.)

Load balancing

Optimizing server performance

Good knowledge of logging, reporting, and monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, OpsView etc.)

Demonstrated excellent documentation skills, team player, organizational, self-starter and communication skills coupled with quick ability to learn new technologies and systems.

Nutanix or VMWare certifications

Familiarity with physical-to-virtual (P2V) migrations

Familiarity with VMWare VCF and vSAN technology stacks and inner workings

Familiarity with 3rd party integrations (e.g. ServiceNOW, IPAM, AD, CyberArk etc.)

Familiarity with virtual desktops and workspaces (Citrix XenApp, Xendesktop)

Familiarity with Windows operating system administration

10+ years working with vendors and working through vendor support tickets.

10+ years’ experience deploying enterprise scale applications and services.

10+ years’ experience defining and managing system requirements through system development life cycle.
