Our engineering team is collaborating with one of the leading manufacturing firms in the alloy industry. They have engaged us to find a talented engineer to fill a Manufacturing Process Engineer opening.

As a manufacturing process engineer, your responsibilities would include designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for superalloys. This would involve selecting appropriate equipment, designing workflows, and optimizing parameters to ensure efficient production while meeting quality standards.

You would collaborate with material science engineers to select the appropriate alloy and conduct testing to ensure they meet the required specifications. You would also monitor the manufacturing process and collaborate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency, quality, and sustainability of the manufacturing process. This may involve implementing new technologies, optimizing workflows, or reducing waste generation.

Additionally, you would be responsible for reviewing ESR Melt Records daily, issuing appropriate corrective actions and/or discrepancy reports, identifying and reporting process deviations, providing technical support during contract review, performing observations of key processes and operations such as forging, rolling, etc., and assisting in writing and updating work instructions for continuous improvement projects.

Metallurgical or Materials Engineering Degree required

1-3 years experience as a process engineer for a ferrous or non-ferrous metals producer

Experience in melt shop VIM, VAR, ESR, or EAF is highly desired
