Core Responsibilities

The Clean Energy Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing processes for analyzing, monitoring, verifying, forecasting and reporting on financial information for the E-mobility and Demonstrations team's portfolio of programs.

Coordinates with other Company staff and supporting groups and various external vendors, when applicable, to develop the Regulatory-Asset, Capital and O&M budgets, and monitor results against budget and program forecasts.

Processes all vendor invoices and customer incentive payments timely, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and procedures. Invoice records and supporting documentation must be maintained and well-organized. Additionally, this role will be responsible to mentoring and guiding junior staff to perform the functions referenced.

Assists with the month-end close process. This includes compiling all expenditures in the department and leading the process for review, verification and transfers and corrections of expenditures on a monthly basis. Additionally, the analyst will prepare the required financial and regulatory reports by prescribed due dates.

Develop and implement systems for analyze, monitor, verify, forecast and report on financial information for relevant programs.

Partner with department program managers and other Staff to develop the annual and five-year budgets, rolling forecasts, and research monthly variances. Report on financial results versus budgets and forecasts to the department and executives.

Manage the month-end financial close and financial analysis and reporting processes.

Perform contract management activities including submitting requisitions, processing change requests, creating purchase orders, managing blanket purchasing agreements, etc.

Coordinate with other Company FP&A staff to develop the capital, balance sheet (regulatory asset) and O&M budgets and monitor results against the budget.

Responsible for month-end accrual and receipting process including monthly true-ups and invoice review

Responsible for development of a departmental financial dashboard to capture key performance and financial information.

Track and maintain developed financial dashboards providing the ability to report department's key financial details for executive communication, regulatory reporting and compliance tracking purposes.

Set up new vendors for payment which includes contacting the vendor and obtaining the required documentation.

Responsible for handling department's P-Card transactions

Coordinate with key stakeholders to oversee the development of financial controls, processes and procedures.

Manage the invoice and customer incentive payment processes and ensure allocations for invoice payments are accurate and complete.

Respond to internal/external audit inquiries timely.

Perform other related tasks and assignments as required while providing guidance and mentoring junior staff.

Required Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field and 3-5 years of related work experience.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field and 5 years of related work experience.

Master's Degree MBA or Masters of Finance/Accounting

Relevant Work Experience

Related experience in accounting, financial planning, budgeting, analysis forecasting, and business operations experience. Required

Flexibility to deal with ambiguity and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Required

Knowledge of finance and accounting concepts and ability to explain concepts to non-financial professionals. Required

Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to see the big picture and attention to details. Required

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), including advanced Excel skills. Required

Self-starter with the ability to collaborate with all employee and executive management levels to build consensus. Required

Proven financial modeling skills and ability to perform independent research. Required

Experience in developing internal controls and managing processes. Preferred

Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills. Preferred

Outstanding verbal and writing communication skills. Preferred

Experience with Oracle Hyperion, Oracle EBS and Oracle Business Intelligence a plus. Preferred
