Special Education Teacher (SPED)

Job Description

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

A school district in Olympia, WAis seeking a Special Education Teacher to join the team.As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized instruction plans for students with variousdisabilities to support their academic, social, and emotional development.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver instruction to students with disabilities in inclusive and resource settings

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students' needs

Collaborate with general education teachers and other service providers to provide appropriate accommodations and modifications

Conduct ongoing assessment of students' progress and adjust instruction accordingly

Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Participate in parent-teacher conferences and IEP meetings

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field

State licensure or certification in Special Education

Experience teaching students with disabilities

Knowledge of special education law and regulations

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
