ML Engineering Specialist Salary - £40,000 - £60,000 This is a great job for a Data Engineer or Data Scientist with a deep knowledge of python and/or R who is looking to develop and build their career in a growing Data Science team.

A bit about the job: We are offering this role to someone with an appetite for problem solving and interrogating data with practical experience in programming and engineering.

As the Risk Analytics Insight and Data (RAID) team grows, we need someone to provide technical expertise and internal consulting on data science and automation projects as well as existing analytics solutions.

The ML Engineering Specialist will play a key role in supporting the RAID infrastructure and expanding the existing platform to support more users, more data and richer analyses.

You will collaborate across the delivery, Run and various stakeholder teams (including Risk, Financial Crime, IT) to ensure relevant requirements are sourced, designs are agreed and code is tested and reviewed appropriately so that we can drive insight on the business’s risk exposures.

You will also play a role in optimising and automating existing solutions and rolling out new deliveries across the RAID team, playing a key part in the design and development process.

Skills and experience we’re looking for: Programming experience covering multiple languages and technologies.

Very good knowledge of R and/or Python is required.

Degree/MSc/PhD in either Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning or similar preferred.

Creative thinker/problem solver with experience in applying modelling techniques.

Well-versed in modern development practices, you take pride in in your work and delivery quality outputs at every step of a project.

You will have experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to represent data science in strategy conversations and maximise deliverables.
