Key Responsibilities:

Conducting comprehensive eye examinations and assessments.

Performing surgical procedures such as cataract surgery, LASIK, and other corrective surgeries.

Diagnosing and treating eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.

Prescribing and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Utilizing medical imaging techniques to evaluate eye health and detect abnormalities.

Educating patients about eye health, preventive care, and treatment options.

Participating in research and staying updated with advancements in ophthalmology.

Documenting patient medical histories and treatment plans accurately.

Managing and maintaining medical equipment and instruments.

Required Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree.

Completion of an accredited residency program in ophthalmology.

Board certification in ophthalmology.

Valid state medical license and DEA registration.

Demonstrated experience in performing ophthalmic surgeries.
