JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join us on this journey. The team member will report directly to the Director of Operations.

We are seeking a highly motivated and mechanically inclined Manufacturing Technician to join our team. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in operating our induction furnace and manufacturing finished goods from raw materials. This position involves hands-on, field-based work in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate for the role is a driven and proactive individual. They will help streamline daily production runs to ensure efficiencies and quality product. The candidate needs to be comfortable communicating with internal and external partners, able to problem solve, and adept at estimating and managing time for a variety of tasks. The Manufacturing Technician will be the technical expert for the operation which they are assigned. This role requires a natural coordinator who has a strong sense of big-picture objectives and a sharp eye for detail.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot various machinery and equipment. Equipment pertinent to this role include induction furnace, chiller, electrical panels, air compressors, Siemens driver systems, hydraulic press all their ancillary components.

Meet deadlines for deliverables and adhere to production schedule.

Inspect products at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Report any defects or issues.

Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and minor repairs. Schedule service/maintenance for any significant issues.

Handle raw materials, and finished products, including loading and unloading materials from machines or conveyors.

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.

Maintain production records and logs, documenting production output, machine settings, and any issues that arise during the production process.

Develop and implement ongoing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Diagnose equipment malfunctions and take corrective action as needed.

Experience with ISO 9001standards and following those set requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

AS in Manufacturing, Engineering, or other affiliated applied science field, or 5+ years of successful industry experience.

Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Ability to lift and carry 40lbs +/-

Experience in precious metal manufacturing is preferred.

Ability to identify potential issues and proactively problem solve.

This person should be a self-starter, comfortable working in a startup as an individual and rolling up their sleeves, as well as capable of building a functional area and team over time.

This person must bring positive energy, be a team player, motivated by the overall success of the company and not just individual accomplishments or recognition.

Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills are essential to success.

Engineering/technical certifications or relevant job experience of 5+ years.
