R&D/ Hardware Engineer

Job Description:

To accomplish product Design, development & validation of LED drivers as per cost, time & quality targets. Testing, modification, updating and cost reduction of existing products. Ensure the delivery of assigned key deliverables at each milestones of the project. Ensure proper product documentation in the system.

Study various technologies/platform available & propose most suitable one for the intended product development Look for new innovative idea for product differentiation in terms of Cost / features etc.

Responsibilities in detail:

· Develop products in line with international standards and with company internal quality and performance standards and guidelines.

· Able to conduct validation testing of electronic circuits in the lab

· Ensure project time schedule.

· Work on cost effective solutions.

· Support PCB layout design for optimum cost and performance.

· Perform calculations and/or simulations if required.

· Collaborate with the component group to prepare component specifications.

· Prepare product documentation and test procedures.

· Approve alternate components

· Test engineering and pilot production samples.

· Prepare test reports.

· Support production in case of quality problems.

· Support product managers / application engineering group for demonstration of new ideas.

· Observe safety rules in the working environment.

· Comply with relevant procedures of the company

· Cross- site collaboration as and when required.

· Internally communicate with relevant departments within the business unit.

· Following the required Compliance/BCG Guidelines of the Company.

Experience and Backgrounds:

5-8 years’ experience in power electronics, switch mode power supplies, preferably in electronic ballast /LED driver (lighting industry)

Experience in multinational company environment is a plus.

Skillsets required:

· Knowledge on various AC/DC power supply topologies (Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, Flyback, Half-Bridge LLC etc)

· Experience with Microcontrollers and digital power platforms

· Experience with interfaces like 0-10V, DALI, NFC and Bluetooth.

· Experience with languages like C and Python

· Familiarity with concepts of EMI, Transients, Safety Standards

Knowledge of Simulation Software like PSPICE, SPICE, MATLAB, MATHCAD etc.

Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (IEC, UL, ECE)

Orderly and reliable working habit.

Good Team Player.

Excellent Communication Skills.

Good Computer Skills

Basic knowledge of PCB Designing
