The Research / Engineering Scientist position at Zoho Corporation is responsible for high quality contributions to research and technology innovation in areas of Computer Science/Engineering. Research areas include Compilers, Computer Architecture, Programming Languages, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Computer Networking, Data Security, Cryptography & Network Security, Ransomware protection, Malware Analysis, Cloud computing, Computer Vision & Image processing, Software Engineering, Web Technology, Optimization Algorithms, Machine Learning, Deep learning, Data Science, Generative AI, and other new areas as technology advances.

Excellent self-organization and attention to detail is necessary to balance multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks as needed. The duties and responsibilities in this role include the following:

Research Requirements

* High level of innovation and motivation to perform independent research. * Engaging in independent research and technology learning as required. * Collaborating across teams in research and product development. * Building a strong IP portfolio for new technologies and products.

Document Drafting, Reviewing, and Presentation

* Independently drafting technical documents on system design and technology. * Maintaining accurate and detailed records of system design, technology, and novel aspects. * Reviewing technical documents and providing insightful technical analysis. * Generating technical specifications, presentations, and documentation for internal and external communication.

Project Execution

* Managing projects across multiple stages: concept ideation, novelty identification, system design, and documentation. * Working autonomously without supervision to complete tasks and projects accurately and on time.

Other Functions and Skills

* Performing miscellaneous tasks to support team functioning. * Advanced language and communication skills for documentation and presentations. * Continuously improving skills and knowledge to meet responsibilities.
