Job Description:

The Transit Mapping India Geography Expert (Adv. SME) is a crucial role, responsible for overseeing and optimizing transit mapping operations within the Indian geography. This role requires a deep understanding of Indian geography, transportation networks, and transit mapping technologies to ensure accurate and efficient mapping solutions tailored to the region's specific needs .

Should Possess an in-depth understanding of the geographical landscape of India, including topographical features, urban layouts, transportation networks, and infrastructure.

Should be able to develop and implement strategic plans for transit mapping projects in India, considering factors such as population density, urbanization trends, traffic patterns, and public transportation systems.

Should be Participating in the development and revision of organizational policies, guidelines, and procedures related to Transit operations. This includes drafting policy documents, conducting policy reviews, and facilitating stakeholder discussions to ensure that policies align with strategic objectives and industry best practices.

Conducting in-depth analysis of policies, regulations, and guidelines related to Transit operations. This includes reviewing confluence pages for guidelines, industry standards, Project / Program policies, and best practices to ensure compliance and alignment with business objectives.

Well versed in Analysing transit data, geographical information, and mapping algorithms to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization in transit mapping accuracy and efficiency

Should Work closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, data analysts, and GIS specialists to integrate geographical data into transit mapping platforms and ensure seamless functionality
