Legal Officer

On experience in litigations and arbitration proceedings including dealing with contractual disputes, formulating replies to legal notices, coordinate with external lawyers, briefing of advocates and counsels.

& Vetting of legal agreements such as General and Special Terms & Conditions of the Contract, Consortium / Joint Venture Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, LOI, Leave & License Agreement, Lease Agreement, Vendor Agreements, Client Agreements, Service, Works & Material Supply Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Service Agreement, Power of Attorneys, Affidavit, Indemnities and other commercial contracts & agreements;

Creating standard templates and formats of agreements and other legal documents for use by Sub-contract/Procurement and Commercial Department of the Company.

Advice and guidance to varied business teams & functions within the Company on aspects pertaining to various business transactions.

Education

Graduate + LL.B./LL.M. from a nationally accredited law school/university

Industry

Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas or Infrastructure Sector.

Job involves travel for various purposes including attending meetings with clients, representing company in courts cases and arbitration proceedings, negotiating with clients, vendors and discussions with various governmental and non-governmental bodies.

Experience

Overall, 7-10 years (including 3+ years of post-graduate experience at a reputable law firm) in Engineering, Procurement and Construction Business.
