Van Cleef Engineering Associates, LLC is a mid-size consulting civil engineering firm with offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. VCEA provides expertise in all of the major areas of civil engineering, municipal engineering, municipal planning, and land surveying.

This position will be located in the Mt. Arlington, NJ office.

Requirements & Responsibilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering along with NJ PE required (CME, CFM, and/or PP a plus)

Minimum of 4 years of experience servicing NJ Municipal Client including: planning, designing, bidding and/or managing public infrastructure projects; addressing resident concerns; reviewing land development applications for Land Use Boards, and/or designing land development projects;

Thorough understanding of the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law, Residential Site Improvement Standards and Local Public Contracts Law;

Thorough understanding of New Jersey Stormwater Management regulations as well as other NJDEP regulations affecting land development and municipal infrastructure; NJDEP Certification as reviewer under the MS-4 permit a plus;

Ability to collaborate with and manage others;

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D required; GIS experience a plus;

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

Must have good written/verbal communication and people skills to facilitate frequent public communication; Experience in public testimony for Land Use Boards a plus.
