Job Overview:

Primoris Services Corporation is currently seeking a skilled Cyber Security Network Engineer to join our growing team. In this position, are expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network security infrastructure, ensuring the highest level of protection against cyber threats.

To ensure success, a Cyber Security Network engineer with expertise in Palo Alto, Aruba, and Cisco technologies, must display an excellent understanding of technology infrastructures using Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and Security Audits. Top candidates will be comfortable working with a variety of technologies, security problems, and troubleshooting of the network.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, cloud services and information.

Design and validate configuration of Palo Alto, Aruba, and Cisco network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).

Identify, analyze, and define system security processes, best practices, and security requirements for the organization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective security policies and rules within the Palo Alto, Aruba, and Cisco environments.

Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses and implement appropriate remediation measures.

Establish security configurations, tests, and troubleshoots security infrastructure devices.

Respond to all system and/or network security events, incidents, and breaches.

Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.

Actively participate in change control operations to maintain established security control principles, policies, and procedures.

Requirements / Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in networking and security for medium to large enterprise

Proven experience in configuring and managing Palo Alto and Aruba network security solutions.

Knowledge of Palo Alto, Aruba and Cisco solutions will be instrumental in safeguarding our organization's critical assets and data.

Knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies, with a focus on security implications.

Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.

Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.

Experience in building and maintaining security systems.

Current knowledge of technology capabilities and trends; types, and techniques of hacking attacks in the wild.

Understanding of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model and renowned ports and services can be an added advantage.

One of five potential security-related certifications or capacity to acquire a Public Trust security clearance can be an added advantage.

Secure coding practices, ethical hacking, and threat modeling.

Experience in IDS/IPS, penetration and vulnerability testing.

Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols.

Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
