QC Inspector

Job Description

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector with manufacturing experience. This is a direct hire opportunity with a leading manufacturer of mechanical components located in the New Cassel/Hicksville NY vicinity.

Quality Control Inspector position is responsible for ensuring that components and assemblies, both manufactured and purchased, meet all specified quality requirements.

Hourly rate starting at $28.00/hour

Duties:

Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspection.

Review customer blueprint/contract documents by analyzing specifications, matching internal drawings/work order instructions, and identifying discrepancies.

Prepare First Article and Final Inspection reports.

Read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.

Work closely with the shop floor to complete inspections in a timely manner and correct any non-conformances.

Must be able to inspect using measuring tools, including but not limited to micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and optical comparator.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required

2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Must be very detail oriented, organized, have good communication skills and be a team player.

Must be able to work quickly and accurately.

Knowledge of AS9100.

CMM programming knowledge a plus.
