BASELINE QUALIFICATIONS: The Senior Estimator will possess the knowledge, skill, and/or ability in the following areas essential to perform the functions of the position.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, accounting or related field from an accredited college or university and 6 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Language / Communication Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and government regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Good listening skills
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to calculate are and volume
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficiency in Estimating software (such as Timberline, UScost, WinEst)
Interpersonal Skills:
Must be able to interface and develop profitable business relationships with clients
Ability to mentor and evaluate the progress of assigned estimators
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Ability to factor safety and OSHA requirements into estimates
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit for long periods of time reviewing detailed drawings
Regularly required to sit, talk and hear
Exerts minimal physical effort; occasional handling of average weight object up to 10 pounds

Salary: $82,109.59 - $120,884.66 per year

10 hour shift
