As a Senior Accountant the responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform complex journal entry processing, cost allocations, monthly and annual financial reporting activities, and special projects.

Perform high quality account reconciliations in a timely manner.

Oversee accounting functions associated with leasing to ensure compliance with Accounting Standard Codification §842 and provide internal and external stakeholders with accurate and timely data associated with HDR’s leasing activities.

Support a proactive continual improvement environment within Corporate Accounting intended to refine internal processes and align with best practices.

Support internal activities related to annual external financial audits, and filing of financials in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and/or other statutory requirements applicable to HDR and its subsidiaries.

Assist with preparation of annual forecasts and monthly budget analysis.

Cross-train within the accounting department to enhance team flexibility and knowledge.

Work cross functionally with stakeholders to research and resolve accounting matters, proposing process and system improvements where needed.

Prepare ad hoc financial reporting and analysis, as requested by management.

Characteristics of a successful Candidate:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is highly preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of corporate accounting, public accounting, internal audit or related experience is required.

Must be self-motivated, well organized, and able to work well independently.

Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities required.

Openness to utilize technologies, such as Hyperion tools or process automation tools, to complete responsibilities efficiently and with minimal opportunities for error.

Strong written and oral communication skills required.

Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a broad range of financial and non-financial personnel.

Positive attitude and willingness to take on challenging projects required.

Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

High proficiency in MS Office especially Excel and strong analytical skills is a must.

CPA or ability to obtain a CPA or similar designation is preferred.

Previous experience with Oracle EBS, and/or Hyperion is a plus but not required.

Previous experience with Lease Accelerator or another lease accounting software is preferred.

Preference given to local candidates.
