Marketing Intern

Job Description

Salary: $18.00-20.00 per hour

MATSYS, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Intern to support general marketing activities and product development efforts at its three locations in Sterling, VA. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This position will report to the Director of Business Operations.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with marketing material design and copyediting.

Description

Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns to promote our products/services.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

Create and curate engaging content for LinkedIn.

Assist in the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, presentations, etc.

Help organize and coordinate marketing events, including trade shows, conferences, and promotional activities.

Support the tracking and analysis of marketing metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.

Collaborate with team members to brainstorm creative ideas and solutions for marketing challenges.

Copywriting/editing and product photography support, as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Required

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Design, Communications, or a closely-related field.

Strong passion for marketing and eagerness to learn about various marketing disciplines.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and willingness to take on new challenges.

Prior relevant experience.
