Production Manager (Cold Formed Steel Fabrication)

Job Description

Salary: $20-$30

A Guild Member is seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a cold formed steel fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, dependable, ambitious, and personable, with a proven track record of effectively managing production schedules, personnel, and equipment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement production and shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery of customer orders, while keeping sales and management personnel informed.

Manage and coordinate the work of production staff, including operators, technicians, and support personnel

Monitor and maintain the performance and condition of production equipment, coordinating with management for repairs and preventative maintenance

Ensure the availability of necessary tools, materials, and supplies to support uninterrupted production

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance organization, efficiency, quality, and safety

Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to address customer requirements and resolve any production-related issues

Foster a positive, safety-conscious work environment and promote a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

Experience in a production management role

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with teams

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Capacity to learn production management software

Basic understanding of machine maintenance and downtime requirements

Commitment to safety and a track record of promoting a safe work environment
