Danlee Medical Products, Inc. is a growing medical supply distributor and manufacturer located in the Syracuse, New York area. We are seeking an entry level Kit Assembler to become an integral part of our team! Candidates will perform light assembly work in our Production Department.

Position Summary

As the Assembler, this individual will perform the diversified duties as detailed throughout this document. The primary responsibilities of this position are: accurate and timely assembly of kits, label product bags and tapes, verify production for accuracy and customer acceptance, prepare customer kit samples, print labels, prepare shipping cartons, and various administrative and operational duties as necessary. Their objective is to be accurate, dependable and service focused while meeting and carrying out the long-term goals of the department in line with Danlees company mission, vision and values (Our Heartbeat).

Position Accountabilities

Responsible for labeling product bags and tapes, assuring accuracy.

Responsible for maintaining stock in assembly area, and proper recording of usage for assemblies.

Responsible for preparing instruction sheets in accordance with FDA requirements.

Responsible for insuring all FDA requirements are met in the department, including providing lotnumbers and expiration dates on appropriate paperwork.

Accurately gather components, assemble kits and seal bags, insuring kits are shipped within 24-48hours, or according to customer requirements. This requires effective communication with customercare personnel as well as shipping personnel.

Responsible for the timely tear down of returned or cancelled kits, and ensuring product is returned tothe appropriate storage area, as well as in the system.

Responsible for verifying production for accuracy and customer acceptance.

Responsible for keeping scrap/assembly builds logged on appropriate forms, daily.

Responsible for ensuring production schedule requirements are met and keeping manager aware of anyscheduling/build issues.

Responsible for preparing cardboard shipping cartons for kit assemblies.

Responsible for the printing and accuracy of kit labels, including dealer labels.

Responsible for ensuring the assembly/production area is cleaned, maintained and free of safety hazards.

Responsible for ensuring standing orders are assembled in time to meet monthly shipping requirements.

Responsible for completing the non-inventory supply sheet monthly required by Purchasing.

Responsible for being aware of and meeting short customer lead times or deadlines.

Responsible for receiving and signing for packages and freight from carriers if the Shipping/ReceivingDepartment is unavailable.

Responsible for customer samples preparation.

Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information that may fall within the scope of this position, as to not divulge without proper advanced approval.

Perform any other duty or assignment as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Position Qualifications

Education

High School or GED

Experience

Not required but a plus

Technical Proficiencies

Able to use and gain proficiency with Microsoft Office software
