Purpose
Supporting the Company in the fundamental role of achieving customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives through inside sales activities.
Principal Responsibilities
Uses telemarketing to sell product and services
Receive, prioritize, and price quotes for customers
Develop and maintain existing and new customer relationships
Records and maintains customer account profiles and activities
Reviews purchase orders and quality requirements to ensure correct processing
Follow up as necessary to ensure order completion
Collaborate with and support Regional Sales Managers
Mentor and coach customer service representatives by working closely with them, assisting when needed
Effectively communicate issues or setbacks to customers and management
Stay knowledgeable of our competition’s products and services, research and memorize what products are made by which manufacturers
Nature and Scope
The nature of this role is to have an outstanding ability to service customers effectively and confidently with an aptitude to sell product and promote services, maximizing all opportunities while maintaining gross profit goals. This is not a supervisory role, however, coaching skills are required to effectively communicate with supporting customer service staff.
The individual will spend all of their time in an office environment using standard office equipment. They will need to talk/listen, stand, sit and type often. They occasionally may need to climb stairs, crouch, kneel, and balance. Mental demands include the ability to resolve problems, handle conflict, use tactical and strategic thinking, and work under moderate stress.
Requirements:
Background experience in the Aerospace Industry
Fasteners experience a plus
High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
Two or more years sales experience
Computer skills, including the ability to type 40 wpm, operate Microsoft Office programs
High level of verbal communication skills
Excellent written communication skills, including grammar and spelling.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks well.
A good understanding of strategic or corporate sourcing
The ability to work as part of a team.
Willingness to continue training and development to self-enhance personal performance.
