Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated senior writer to join our team focused on Request for Proposals (RFPs). In this role, you will help develop and respond to questions on the firm's products and services from investment consultants, existing clients, and prospective clients. The responses will be in the form of RFPs, Requests for Information (RFI), and Due Diligence Questionnaires.

The RFP writer will also be responsible for updating, maintaining, and developing the language library. The RFP writer will support establishing an efficient relationship and collaboration across Voya IM products.

The RFP Writer will strive to ensure that all deliverables are complete, accurate, and compliant to provide a high standard of service and the best opportunity to bring in new business.

This role will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) from prospective clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, exceptional writing and communication skills, and a proven track record of success in crafting compelling RFP responses.

What will you be doing?

Manage and write institutional RFPs, RFIs and DDQs for all of Vestwell’s products - responses include both qualitative and quantitative information

Contribute to team-wide initiatives to improve processes and create efficiencies

Complete ad-hoc and consultant questionnaire requests in an accurate and timely manner

Collaborate cross-functionally (product, sales, marketing, legal, etc) within Vestwell to ensure we our able to clearly articulate our offerings and solutions and ensure every response is the best version of itself

Create and maintain a library of RFP content, templates, and best practices to streamline future response efforts.

Manage multiple RFPs simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

5-7+ years of relevant experience, preferably including new business proposal (RFP) writing for financial services and technology platforms.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.

Knowledge of fintech industry trends, products, and services is a plus.

Strong project management and time management skills; high attention to detail, with ability to craft a compelling narrative.

Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.

The expected salary range for this position is $90K - $100K. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired.

OUR PROCESS

It starts the same for every candidate: getting to know the team members through 1 - 2 conversations about Vestwell, your experience, and your interests. Next steps can vary by role, but the usual next steps are a skill or experience screen (e.g. a coding interview for an Engineer, a portfolio review for a Designer, deeper experience call for other roles) which leads to a virtual or in-person interview panel after that if the screens go well. Before making an offer, our interview process concludes with a references check stage for your recruiter to meet with a current or former supervisor and peer. We prioritize transparency and lack of surprise throughout the process.
