GENERAL SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proficient Legal Administrative Floater to join our Potomac office.

As a Legal Administrative Assistant Floater, you will play a critical role in supporting the firm by providing administrative assistance across various practice areas and departments.

This position requires versatility, excellent organizational skills, and a strong ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive administrative support to multiple attorneys and legal professionals.

Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments.

Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and reports.

Organize and maintain physical and electronic files.

Assist with document production, including formatting, editing, and filing.

Maintain and update legal databases and document management systems.

Assist with time entry, billing, and invoicing tasks.

Prepare expense reports and track reimbursements.

Relieve receptionist on a rotating schedule.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Operate from established and well-known procedures under general directions.

Job encounters recurring, new, and varied work situations of a moderate degree of complexity.

Contacts are normally made with others inside and outside the firm including immediate supervisor, associates, members of other departments, clients, court personnel and other professionals.

kNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Five years+ experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or related role.

Familiarity with legal procedures and terminology.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Adaptability and willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities.

Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Additional certification or training in legal administration is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Overtime may be required during periods of high workload upon approval.

Flexibility in daily work schedule around breaks and lunch period due to attorney requirements.
