D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Corporate Finance Analyst in the Accounting Department. This role will collaborate with members of the Corporate Finance team, including D.R. Horton’s Senior Vice President – Finance and Treasurer and Corporate Finance Manager, in supporting corporate finance-related activities of D.R. Horton and D.R. Horton’s subsidiaries, including DRH Rental, Inc., Forestar Group Inc. and DHI Mortgage Company, LTD. This role requires working closely with various internal departments, as well as external parties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Build, manage and maintain detailed multi-year financial models to support key strategic decisions and overall company forecasting

Analyze business performance to communicate results and impact business decisions

Synthesize detailed financial information and prepare executive-level analysis and presentations for senior management, lenders, and other third parties

Assist in evaluating and executing debt & equity financings and capital structure / capital allocation decisions

Manage and monitor the debt portfolios of D.R. Horton and D.R. Horton’s subsidiaries, including revolving credit facilities and senior notes. The Corporate Finance Analyst will play a meaningful role in debt refinancing, renewals, compliance, and payoffs

Support treasury functions of D.R. Horton and D.R. Horton’s subsidiaries, including cash management and planning

Assist in managing D.R. Horton’s corporate stock buyback program and Forestar’s at-the-market equity issuance program

Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports

Support ongoing dialogue with banks and other external partners

Maintain up-do-date understanding of the homebuilding industry and financial instruments, market conditions, and trends

Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

Regular and reliable in-office attendance, with work-from-home flexibility as needed

Ability to travel overnight

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Finance and/or Accounting

2 to 4 years of banking / corporate finance / accounting experience

Exceptional undergraduate track record from a reputable institution

Outstanding analytical skills, oral and written communication skills, and presentation ability

Superb organizational skills and exceptionally detailed-oriented

Able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure when meeting deadlines

Proficiency with the latest computer technology and advanced understanding of and ability to operate in Excel and PowerPoint

Proven experience in analyzing, building, and maintaining financial models and reporting financial performance

Thorough understanding of GAAP and overall accounting principles

Demonstrated knowledge of financial statements, corporate finance theory and financial valuation

Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and negotiate legal documentation, including credit agreements, bond indentures, term sheets and engagement letters

An in-depth understanding of the financial and capital markets

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form or via DRH applications

Proficiency with MS Office and email
