Overview:

TEMPORARY - P/T Variable position – (0-37.5 hours per week, hours are based on caseload/program need; potentially up to 6 months) pay is $23.40/hr. with WA State Paid Sick Leave available after 90 days.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Incumbent will be responsible for working collaboratively with the FFWR team to ensure the FFWR Program operates smoothly, approves all eligible FFWR Beneficiaries, and distributes payment checks. This includes approvals of intakes, uploading spreadsheets to Aeyon database, working with accounts payable at CCS on check requests, and working with Supervisor on the investigation of potential fraudulent cases, etc. When needed, they will conduct client intakes and data entry for people seeking financial assistance for the CCS Farm & Food Worker Relief Project located at the Skagit Farmworker Center will include, which will include screening clients, obtaining required documentation to demonstrate program eligibility, entering client information into the Aeyon System, preparing spreadsheet for client payments, outreach to community, and working collaboratively with FWC staff & FFWR community partners.

Responsibilities:

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working with FFWR Case Aid to ensure approval of intakes and documentation in files.

Uploading FFWR spreadsheets to Aeyon database, receiving the output feedback, and working with FFWR Supervisor on FFWR beneficiaries being investigated for fraud.

Prepare, approve and upload payment spreadsheets to CCS Accounting via TEAMS. Communicate with accounting about check ETA, and plan for disbursement of checks.

Work collaboratively with Case Aid and FFWR Supervisor for disbursement of checks, ensuring file documentation of person picking up check.

Assist Case Aid in tracking all incoming calls and voicemails; return calls within the program-required timeframe; provide information regarding FWC-FFWR Program, including eligibility and documentation requirements.

Assist Case Aid in ensuring coverage of FFWR appointments as scheduled.

Respond to phone inquiries in a timely manner, and set up appointments

When needed, screen interested households to determine program eligibility.

Conduct outreach events in order to connect with local community for FFWR applications, as needed.

Ensure contract compliance, particularly in regards to obtaining documentation demonstrating client eligibility.

Maintain strict confidentiality of household information in compliance with related policies and procedures.

Work collaboratively with Case Aid to ensure client hard copy files are well maintained.

Prepare and participate in FFWR monitoring meetings for audit requirements.

Assist FFWR Supervisor in the preparation of reports.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM:

Bilingual: English & Spanish

1 year of direct experience or volunteer work with migrant Indigenous/Latinx community in a professional setting OR 5+ years lived experience with Indigenous/Latinx community.

Progressive experience performing computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Windows-based applications. Ability to use multiple data bases and spreadsheets.

Strong communication (verbally & written), interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team model.

Committed to the principles of divergent cultures.

Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Current WA State Driver’s License & proof of current automobile insurance

Criminal History Background Checks are required prior to employment.

PREFERRED:

Trilingual skills - Spanish, Mixteco & English.

Experience working collaboratively with accounts payable.
