Role Summary

Reporting to the Director of Pricing, the Senior Pricing Analyst has working relationships throughout the organization interfacing with operations, sales, relationship management (RM), finance, and product. The Senior Pricing Analyst is a critical and visible role responsible for creating and presenting pricings for all EQ product lines including transfer agent services, corporate actions, and equity plan services.

You will partner with business leaders to structure the product offering, analyse data and seek input to set rates for the offering, and construct P&Ls for each offering. Additional ad-hoc analysis will keep you intrigued, with the audience frequently being executive management. You'll work with a small team of dedicated professionals to bring new and profitable business to EQ. If this role matches your expertise and career goals, we encourage you to apply!

Core Duties/Responsibilities

Pricing of Deals – As larger deals are presented by sales or the RMs, create offerings for the client and present to executive management for approval.

Monthly Reporting – Help to analyse trends being seen by pricing in volumes and types of pricings, and the price/volume relationship (elasticity) of fees.

Financial Modelling – Help to revamp the existing pricing models, and then to maintain the models going forward. Depending on your skill set, this may include programming the files with VBA.

Collaboration – Seek out feedback and input on pricing, while also being the source of pricing truth and knowledge.

Team Member – Be the member of a small pricing team, always willing to contribute to the overall good of the team and to the business.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:

Qualification / skills required:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or related technical field of study (Computer Science, Engineering). If undergraduate degree is not in Finance or Accounting, proven working experience and proficiency financial concepts, including Profit Loss Statements (P&L’s), Variance Analysis, rate/volume analysis, etc., is required.

Intermediate or advanced level of Excel knowledge (complex formulas, lookups, logic, pivot tables, etc.).

Strong communication skillset and proven ability to influence without authority.

Qualified candidates must be innovative, self-starter, and proven performers with a history of delivering results.

Excellent analytical, financial modelling and demonstration of critical thinking, ability obtain and analyse data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.

Strong communication skills (presentations, verbal, written and listening), including ability to work collaboratively.

Not intimidated by change or ambiguity and is resourceful and action oriented.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of direct Pricing experience.

Ability to program Excel macros using VBA.

Working knowledge of SQL, and the ability to construct and run queries.

Experience creating presentations for and presenting directly to executive leadership.
