Intelligent Transportation Systems Support Technician Norcross - 60-100k

Seeking a capable individual to serve as an Intelligent Transportation Systems Support Technician. Position will include product support of NEMA and 2070 traffic cabinets and controllers, CCTV and detection cameras, battery backup systems, and communications infrastructure (fiber and over air). This individual will be responsible for working directly with end users and contractors for troubleshooting, sales staff on product initiatives and supporting/training customers in the field, remotely or at their office location. A qualified candidate should possess some of the skills and experience listed below:

• Knowledge of tools, equipment, practices, and methods used in installing, maintaining, and repairing traffic signals, ITS devices and associated equipment.

• Knowledge of principles and practices of traffic control guidelines, both state and local

• Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local codes, laws, and regulations regarding electronics

• Ability to configure, troubleshoot and repair various forms of detection.

• Knowledge of fiber cable and networking equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and repair this equipment.

• Knowledge of pre-emption system installation, maintenance, and testing.

• Ability to interpret design schematics, site plans, maps, engineering drawings, troubleshooting manuals and technical guides.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair problems inherent to traffic signals and other ITS equipment.

• Ability to wire and connect cables necessary for operation of signalized intersections.

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the public.

• Ability to learn quickly, retain knowledge, and apply training and previous technical experience to the traffic industry.

• Ability to support industry trade events and provide technical sales information to customers and prospects.

• Ability to assist the sales team by uncovering customer needs and providing leads for follow-up; supports the sales process by presenting solutions and technical information to customers.

• Ability to professionally walk customers through the installation, training, and support of new and existing products.

• Valid Driverâ s license and clean driving record
