What DeLeers Construction can offer you

The Mason position is an hourly (non-exempt) role. The starting rate is posted at $27.00 to $32.00 per hour depending on your experience level. If your experience level is above what is listed in our description the hourly rate can go up accordingly. In addition to the base rate, travel pay, daily per diem for overnight travel, and overnight accommodation as needed is included.

A day in the life of a Mason

The Mason position will be constructing various masonry structures, including buildings, walls, and chimneys. They mix mortar, operate an array of hand and power tools, and collaborate effectively with others to complete projects. With a keen eye for detail, Masons prioritize safety, quality, and problem-solving, contributing essential skills to the construction industry's landscape.

What is required to be a start Mason?

Knowledge of the materials, methods, and tools involved with masonry, and the ability to work safely with all types of hand and power tools.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.

Knowledge of fireplace construction and materials used.

Must be able to travel out-of-town for various job projects and stay overnight when required.

Hold or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.

Walk, prolonged standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.

Use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.

Frequently lift and/or move 25+ pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
