Position Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)

Location: Gainesville, FL

Salary Range & Benefits:

Salary: $27.42 to $36.95 per hour, based on experience

Sign-On Bonus: $7,500

Shift Differentials: Nights: $3.25, Weekends: $2

Relocation: Considered on a case-by-case basis

Nights, with rotating weekends

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

Deliver and manage respiratory therapies and equipment: Setup and administer routine and non-routine respiratory therapy procedures across various patient demographics.

Perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gases: Analyze ABG results to adjust treatment plans effectively.

Patient Communication and Education: Clearly communicate with patients and their families, providing education and support regarding respiratory care and treatments.

Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Critical Care Support: Provide respiratory care in acute settings like ICU, CVICU, NICU, and PICU, adapting to the fast-paced and dynamic needs of critical care patients.

Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment.

Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and therapy documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year in an acute care setting (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, Critical care)

Florida State Respiratory License

RRT or CRT certified by NBRC

BLS required; ACLS, NRP, and PALS to be obtained within 30 days of start
