Job Description
GENERAL DUTIES
Plan, implement, and enforce OHS policies and programs
Prepare and conduct educational seminars, webinars, and trainings on a regular basis. Ensure that annual refresher training is accomplished as needed.
Participate and hold all Safety Committee meetings
Ensure that proper records of Safety Committee Meetings, Safety Training, Accident Investigations ad Notice of Injury (C-1) Forms are maintained
Review accident/injury reports, evaluate and provide recommendations to Department and/or Division Head
Review existing policies and procedures
Conduct routine Safety Inspections of work areas.
Coordinate bi-annual emergency evacuation drills.
Maintain and update the OSHA 300 Log and post the log on the message/bulletin board from February 1 through April 30 of each year
Liaise and interact with OSHES, SCATS, State Fire Marshal Division, and the Third-Party Administrator
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
BSc/BA in safety management or similar field preferred.
3-5 years of proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of OSH guidelines and practices.
Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
2-4 years of experience in producing reports.
Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety.
Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
Proficient in MS Office.
Certificate in occupational health and safety preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand, walk and lift for up to 8 hours daily.
Vision abilities requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth
Required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs. continually.
May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.
