As Mechanical Engineer (CAD Design & Testing) on the Engineering team, you will make a positive impact by:

Utilize CAD software to design and create detailed models, drawings, and assemblies of mechanical components and systems.

Conduct thorough inspections and testing of mechanical components and assemblies to ensure they meet defined quality standards and specifications.

Ensure that a root cause is identified correctly and that containment, corrective and preventive actions are implemented without undue delay.

Work on continuous improvements of the production process.

Support in communicating data with suppliers and related internal departments.

Identify and address deviations from quality standards promptly and effectively.

Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure the quality of the overall product, components, and parts. Conduct audits and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with manufacturing partners to ensure timely resolution of quality-related issues.

Travel to Manufacturing facilities and client sites: up to 40%Qualifications

Qualifications we’re looking for.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Test Engineer or CAD Designer, preferably in product development or manufacturing. Experience with Plastics is ideal.

Experience with mechanical testing, including developing test plans, conducting tests, and analyzing test data is a plus.

Experience with measurement equipment such as calipers and micrometer gauges.

Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Abilities:

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia) for 2D and 3D modeling and drafting, with a focus on mechanical components and systems.

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design and testing.

Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
