Assistant Director of Banquet Service

Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Tokyo, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Banquet to achieve the company’s objectives and create a memorable guest experience.

Key Accountabilities

Ensures the delivery of exceptional guest service at all times, providing friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: Greeting, seating and waiting on all guests.

Handles, or relays to managers all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.

Establishes and maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

Understands and accurately follow the standard of sequence of service, pre-service and after-service procedures.

Understands all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.

General Requirements

Organizational and planning skills in project conceptualization and execution

Leadership and management skills

Seasonal knowledge in international cuisine, including food preparation and presentation

Thorough knowledge in costing and pricing of food and beverage items
