The Global Payroll Specialist is a critical member of the Finance Team/Payroll Department, reporting to the Payroll Supervisor. In this role you will be responsible for all daily activities relating to the payroll process, which includes but is not limited to, the auditing and processing of manual checks, voids, reissues, direct deposits, and termination payments. Additionally, you will manage workflow to ensure all timecards, employee and payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately.

Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering payroll related data.

Reconcile global/shadow payrolls by cross-referencing source documents.

Processing of payroll and systems in multiple countries, ensuring efficiency, compliance with local tax and labor laws, and mitigation of payroll-related risks.

Responsible for post-payroll reconciliations and reporting.

Provide excellent customer service when answering employee and business partner payroll inquiries.

Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

Plan and forecast global payroll funding requirements for treasury management.

Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.

Ability to work individually and as a team member; Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and pay cycles with frequent interruption.

Act as backup for other team members as needed.

Assist with audits.

Interact with outside tax partner; international payroll providers.

Assist with payroll testing of patch releases.

Reviews and guarantees submission of payroll-related data to service providers, statutory filing requirements and payroll approvals.

Responsible for ensuring full data integrity.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

High School Diploma; Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred

2 or more years of global payroll management, multi-state payroll experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience working in global/multinational companies and teams

Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws

Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required

Experience with in-house payroll processing

Expatriate Tax and Shadow Payroll Experience

Experience working in global/multinational companies and teams

Understanding of tax equalization programs and policies

ADP and/or CMiC experience a plus

An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities and organizational skills.

Able to work effectively with minimal supervision

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

For Providence, RI this ranges from $53,400.00-$73,500.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
