Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Sanitation Worker to join our team. As a Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for collecting the garbage and recyclables within the community. Your duties may also include the responsible disposal of hazardous waste and ensuring the organization follows local and state health and safety standards. At the end of your shift, you will bring the refuse that has been collected to a transfer station or landfill. Responsibilities:

Work outdoors year-round and in all weather conditions

Haul garbage from cans to dumpsters

Collect large or heavy objects manually when necessary

Overall maintenance and cleanliness of all common spaces

Set up and tear down of events and activations

Qualifications:

Previous work experience as a Sanitation Worker/ Porter or in a similar role

Ability to routinely lift 50+ pounds with proper lifting techniques

Knowledge of proper waste disposal practices

Experience working with hazardous materials

Reliable and able to work independently
