The Instructional Designer is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality training programs aimed at the promotion and enhancement of the knowledge, skills, and behaviors of the company’s workforce.
More to the point, an Instructional Designer has the initiative and the ability to create, design, and develop training solutions that address and satisfy business and organizational needs. He is keen on industry trends, understands end-user demands, and foresees incoming business developments.
Your key responsibility areas are:
Training Needs Analysis
Conduct needs assessment for internal and client training programs
Work with the Learning & Development team, different business units and clients to determine course development needs for new and current training programs
Content Design and Development
Research on assigned topics through coordination with subject matter experts and using other resources as required
Develop and enhance classroom and web-based course content for new and current training programs in coordination with the assigned subject matter experts and following instructional design parameters
Program Implementation& Evaluation
Conduct pilot run of modules created and/or calibrate trainers for certification through train-the-trainer sessions
Work closely with the Learning and Development, Operations and Quality Assurance teams to ensure best practices are incorporated into the curriculum
Maintain and update training course templates, including the participant workbook and guide, facilitator guide, worksheets and exercises, and presentations for internal and client use
Work with the Learning and Development management team in conducting training evaluation and recommending training interventions to address identified gaps
As Instructional Designer you are responsible in ensuring that all employment and personal information of employees are kept and handled in accordance with existing company policies on Information Security and Data Privacy.
