First State Building & Design (a.k.a FSBD) is a leading remodeling company that provides full design and build services for both exteriors and interiors.
We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Project Manager to join our team.
Our ideal candidate has PM experience to effectively manage and support multiple construction projects throughout all production phases from start to finish. Possesses a “can do” attitude, is enthusiastic, energetic, goal oriented and who wants to maximize their skills to join our FSBD team in Chadds Ford, PA
Required Qualifications
10 years of project management experience preferred; 5 years minimum required
Previous hands-on construction experience
Excellent foundation of construction knowledge, processes, and principles an absolute must
Driver’s license with clear record

Exceptional self-management and strong leadership qualities who can take the ball and run with it
Effective communication ability to interact professionally with office team, field crew, sub-contractors, and clients
Task driven, capacity to plan and prioritize project needs, organized, and excellent time-management skills
Adept critical thinking and problem-solving skills in devising remedy plans of action
Technically sound and able to easily learn and adapt to new systems
Team player with solid management and leadership abilities
Works well under pressure within a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
Primary Goal – Effectively supervise, assist, and support multiple projects throughout all production phases including but not limited to:
Project Start Preparation
Organize site visit for customer introduction and determine location of dumpster, materials, etc.
Review scope of work, drawings, and renderings for accuracy and confirm details coincide with site conditions
Plan out production requirements to secure all manpower and materials needed
Provide production schedules to crew, subs, and customer
Conduct project launch meetings with sub-contractors and lead crew to review SOW and field questions to ensure clear understanding of job requirements
Confirm delivery of supplier materials, dumpsters, and restrooms
During Project
Oversee and maintain production schedules to ensure benchmark timeline dates are being met
Sustain strict standards of quality control and job site cleanliness throughout production to ensure customer satisfaction
Manage multiple crews, subcontractors and maintain proper daily communications with each
Conduct site checks to monitor labor progress
Address, follow through and resolve client questions/concerns and field problems that may arise
Upload daily production logs to our BuilderTrend project management system
Meet inspectors on site for various inspections
Communicate change orders for project add-ons to office to obtain client approval
Perform final walkthrough with clients and manage completion of any punch list items
After Project
Inform office final inspection has been completed
Oversee removal of dumpster, restroom, company sign, and excess materials from site
