PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Perform skilled-journey level work in the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Inspect, maintain, and diagnosis mechanical and electrical systems of industrial machinery/equipment using a variety of electrical test equipment, meters, powered and non-powered tools.

Troubleshoot malfunctions on production line equipment and make repairs to faulty equipment.

Replaces faulty electrical components of machine, such as relays, contactors, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices.

Maintains and repairs equipment such as motors, pneumatics, conveying systems, and production equipment.

Performs all preventative maintenance work and repairs to equipment. o Cleans, lubricates and adjusts parts, equipment and machinery.

Disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment to make repairs.

Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to verify the adequacy of repairs. • Periodically perform installation of new equipment, electronic equipment and electrical wiring in compliance to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE SKILLS:

Must have knowledge of the methods, equipment and materials used in the electrical trade. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Completion of a recognized vocational education program in electrical or industrial electrical or industrial training –OR- completion of a recognized Electrical Apprenticeship Program and three out of the last five years’ journey-level experience as an electrician in the industrial maintenance field Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Reads and understands blue prints, schematics, and technical drawings. Must possess good reasoning skills to operate and trouble shoot machine processes. Must be able to conduct tests to locate mechanical and Electrical system malfunction. Repairs electrical equipment. Wire equipment per NEC 2010 code. Knowledge of how to use and read a dial indicator. Basic knowledge of machine tools, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery and equipment. The ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment is essential. The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, troubleshooting problems, fabricating parts, conducting inspections, and keeping accurate records of repairs. Experience operating a forklift is a plus
