Summary:

Summary

The .Net Microservice Developer will be working on large enterprise microservice applications being developed for both internal and external customers in an agile environment. The position is involved in all aspects of development including design, data modeling, implementation, and testing. Applications are developed primarily in .NET Core, utilizing many cloud and Kubernetes technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

Contributes to the application as a member of an agile scrum team

Contributes in day-to-day software development efforts in C# .NET core

Works from a backlog of tasks related to the development of the application

Helps support and maintain the .Net application

Works with stakeholders to enhance the .Net application

Helps document and maintain documentation about the .Net application

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to quickly understand and work in an existing product

Ability to collaborate and communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization

Ability to find solutions to difficult or complex issues

Ability to use time effectively keeping focus on organizational needs

Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve critical incidents

3+ years’ experience with C# .NET Core Development

3+ years’ experience with React or other web front-end development

1+ years’ experience with Azure or other cloud development experience

3+ years' experience of SQL (Relational Database)

3+ years of object oriented software development

1+ year experience with Build and Release (CI/CD) pipelines

1+ year experience with git scm

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the Railroad industry

Experience developing software using a DDD approach

Experience with Kubernetes

Experience with Docker, application containerization and development

Experience with NoSQL (Document Database)

Experience with Microservices

Experience with Azure DevOps

Experience with Kafka (or other event streaming experience)

Experience with Elastic and Kibana
