In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and verifying firmware for RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) and NFC (Near Field Communication) devices and systems. Your expertise in embedded systems, wireless communication protocols, and data integrity will be crucial in ensuring the reliability and security of our RFID and NFC solutions. Key Responsibilities:

RFID and NFC Firmware Development:

Design, develop, and optimize embedded firmware for RFID and NFC-enabled devices and systems.

Implement advanced communication protocols, data processing algorithms, and security features.

Ensure firmware compliance with RFID and NFC standards and industry best practices.

Hardware Integration:

Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to seamlessly integrate firmware with RFID and NFC hardware components.

Conduct hardware testing and debugging to resolve firmware-related issues affecting data verification.

Performance Optimization:

Optimize firmware to achieve peak performance in terms of data transfer rates, read/write distances, and data verification speed.

Conduct comprehensive performance analysis and identify areas for improvement.

Firmware Innovation:

Stay up-to-date with RFID and NFC technology advancements and industry trends.

Innovate and prototype new features and capabilities that enhance data verification and overall system performance.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain thorough documentation of firmware design, architecture, and code.

Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting data verification methodologies.

Research and Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Innovation Team and across the organization.

Investigate emerging technologies related to RFID and NFC and their potential impact on data verification.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide technical support to address firmware-related issues affecting data verification in RFID and NFC projects.

Work closely with the support team to resolve customer-reported data verification concerns.

Locations: Sayre, PA or Miamisburg, OHQualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in firmware development for RFID and NFC systems, with a strong focus on data verification.

Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, etc. for embedded systems.

In-depth understanding of RFID and NFC technology, standards, protocols, and data structures.

Experience with RFID and NFC hardware components, testing tools, and data validation methodologies.

Knowledge of embedded system design principles and real-time operating systems (RTOS).

Embedded Linux experience is a plus.

Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

A track record of innovation and a commitment to ensuring data integrity in firmware.
