The Senior Deal Sourcing Buyer is primarily responsible to identify, assess, and execute strategic opportunities that will continue to set the stage for transformational retail growth. Will be responsible for forging and fostering enduring partnerships and finding opportunities to develop new and expand on existing relationships. This role is pivotal in our strategy and will requires a dynamic individual who combines analytical prowess with an entrepreneurial spirit.

• Strategic Planning & Direction:

o Collaborate with the leadership team to set the strategic direction for business development, focusing on high-potential opportunities.

o Analyze the current business landscape, identifying gaps, and formulating strategies to capitalize on them.

o Maintain a dynamic target list of business opportunities and report progress and updates to the leadership team.

• Relationship Building & Management:

o Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders both within and outside the organization, positioning us as first call for end-user monetization.

o Work closely with internal teams, to align on growth opportunities.

o Engage in complex negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and opportunity to scale.

• Project Execution & Management:

o Oversee end-to-end business development process from ideation to handoff.

o Coordinate with various internal teams to ensure timely and successful product launches, in line with the marketing calendar.

o Provide periodic reports on business growth, challenges, and opportunities.

• Innovative Growth Strategies:

o Explore emerging trends in the retail and liquidation industries, identifying avenues for integration and expansion.

o Drive awareness of new initiatives while ensuring continuous evolution to adapt to changing market needs.

• Bachelor's degree (in business, marketing, or a related field) or equivalent relevant work experience is required. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail buying or business development in financial services or retail sectors.

• Deep understanding of the retail business, with a keen eye for spotting market trends and opportunities.

• Experience with off-price retail, liquidations or reverse logistics is a major plus.

• Existing relationships with major stakeholders in the retail, financial services, and reverse logistics industries.

• Demonstrated ability to turn potential leads into concrete economic opportunities.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a penchant for innovation.
