About the Role

As a journeyman Boilermaker Welder, in this his role you will be responsible for the effective day to day execution of maintenance and repair of heavy duty mobile equipment, identifying reliability issues, and managing reporting. Additionally, you will mentor less experienced maintenance technicians and teaching maintenance best practices.

Qualifications

Pass welding test 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, & 5G (Beveled 3/8" Coupon Test Flat, Horizontal, Vertical & Overhead)

Layout, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble needed products such as pressure vessels

Knowledge of welding technique, metallurgy, and engineering requirements

Analyze engineered drawings and specifications to welding operation where procedural information is unavailable

Advanced GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)

Advanced GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)

Advanced FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding)

Advanced Knowledge of Welding Techniques

Advanced Knowledge of Metal Fabrication varying from Traditional Fittings

Advanced Knowledge in Repairs of Metal Structures

Assist in Development of Safe Practices and Advanced Welding Procedures

Fill-In Leadership

Fundamentals of Safety

Lock Out - Tag Out - Test Out (LOTOTO)

Subject Matter Expert (SME) Training

Physical Demands of the Role

· Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, including walking up and down stairs and across uneven surfaces.

·Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

· Ability to work in both hot and cold environments with high humidity.

· Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, and squat, occasionally in confined spaces.
