Role Impact:

As part of this aseptic, beverage manufacturing facility, a Production Supervisor is critical in effectively directing a team of operators to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently, building a reliable reputation with our brand partners.

In this role, a Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the blending, processing and/or packing of aseptic and/or extended shelf-life beverage products.

Role Responsibilities

Leads area-specific production process.

Understands products and quality requirements, to effectively manage production performance and KPIs within labor and operating expenses budget.

Assists in establishing and meeting objectives for safety, product quality, productivity, reliability and operating

costs.

Creates process orders, batch, and blend documents, create shipments, etc. in INFOR M3.

Maintains and update processes documentation through the company systems.

Assist investigations relating to production and quality related incidents to identify and implement corrective actions.

Responsible for following beverage safety/regulatory policies and procedures, executing

responsibilities as identified in standard operating procedures, and reporting

safety/regulatory concerns to the Production.

Ownership of communication within production area and across functions.

Responsible for Safety Incident documentation and investigation and accountable for

reducing safety risks in area through proactively identifying risks (behavior and facility

issues) and ensuring quick resolution.

Collaborates cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other production personnel to ensure information is properly shared and production remains on schedule.

Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned or needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Organizes and facilitates work team meetings, initiates, and implements projects, and

improves team communication and engagement.

Organizes and facilitates team meetings to educate and promote continuous improvement.

Responsible for effective team member performance management and development.

Develops and coaches the team to solve operational issues.

Assist in new employee training, refresher training and basic safety training.

Provide vacation and illness coverage for operators.

Education

High School diploma, GED equivalent, or bachelor’s degree in an operation, engineering, business,

management, or related area of study.

Experience & Skills

Must possess at least 3 years of leadership experience including hiring, employee development, performance coaching, and day-to-day supervision of multiple lines in a compliance driven environment within a highly regulatory production environment.

Demonstration of strong management and leadership abilities in motivating diverse

manufacturing team.

Experience in production batch record review, Enterprise Resource Planning system, investigation of non-conformance, root cause analysis and change control management

Experience with lean manufacturing or similar continuous process improvement training is

preferred. Strong orientation for continuous improvement.

Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are a must

Must be able to handle multiple projects in a timely manner.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Able to work under pressure in a very fast paced environment

Experience in sterile manufacturing and an understanding of the sterilization process and its impact to products.

Knowledge of beverage packaging principles, food industry quality and food safety

requirements, ingredient performance and interactions with equipment, sanitation

procedures, statistical process control, critical control points, and new product scale-up

dynamics preferred.

Experience in Good Manufacturing Practices preferred.

Experience with SQF preferred.

INFOR M3 experience a plus.

Physical Requirements

Able to lift up to 50lbs.

Must be able to work 10/12-hour shift(s)

Must follow GMP Policy - wear company issued shirt, hat, safety glasses, earplugs and hairnet in production areas.

May be required to work outside of schedule shift to support business needs

Must be able to work with equipment that contains electromagnetic components.
